Job Summary:
As the Site Supervisor you will work with a team of engineers and project engineers to solve client needs by providing PLC-based BMS (Building Management System) solutions. You will lead a large project or multiple project efforts and manage internal resources, electrical & mechanical subcontractors, and high-dollar value material content. You will be the driving force onsite that makes things happen through effective planning, collaboration, communication and follow-up. To do so, the Site Supervisor must be detail-oriented and a results-driven person. You will be a "task master", identifying what needs to be done, developing a plan, and taking a hands-on approach to leading others in seeing that plan through to a successful completion. Your leadership role will involve developing both daily/ weekly task lists and ensuring that those tasks are completed on schedule. As the Site Supervisor you will make sure to have a clear understanding of the client’s project goals and maintain the company’s alignment to these goals, enabling the team to exceed client expectations. 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Communication – Ensure effective & professional communication between the client, general contractor, subcontractors, and the project team at all phases of the project. Be effective at identifying and helping to resolving scope, schedule and cost issues as they arise. Attend daily/weekly meetings and provide timely and professional status updates.
  • Project Schedule and Plan – Report to, and work with, the project manager as well as any technical leads to develop the project labor resource plan and task lists to meet the client’s schedule objectives. Develop & maintain daily/weekly/monthly task lists and track progress against plan. Identify schedule risks and contingency plans.
  • Scope & Budget – Maintain firm control of scope and compliance with requirements. Ensure that scope continues to be well-defined and communicated, and proactively identify and help develop any required change orders. Help to develop additional scope opportunities which may serve the client’s objectives.
  • Project Team – Communicate project progress to the team and to the client and be an effective advocate for the project team. Identify project risks in advance and help mobilize the necessary resources to mitigate risks.

Requirements:
  • Technical education (ASEET, BSEET, military training, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10-15+ years in large project (($5M+, $20M+ preferred) delivery environment.
  • Knowledge of control systems, electrical systems and process instrumentation.
  • Experience working with teams of multiple engineers & technicians.
  • Experience managing subcontractors.
  • Willing to travel & spend extended periods on site.
Additional Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Industrial HVAC, Central Plants, Data Centers, or large Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Experience in the use of project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or Revit.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, I/O Checkout, and/or networking.
